Suwon Blue Wings

This is the World Cup Stadium in Suwon, Korea. A group of the exchange students, including myself, went to a soccer game today. It was a little on the chilly side but worth going. It was only 12,000 won. The stadium wasn't very full but the side for the Suwon Blue Wings was full of enthusiastic fans that did near constant chanting and cheering.

After the game the group split up and some I ended up going to Suwon Station. This is a major transportation hub and, as a result, is kind of like a large mall. So I was interested in going. It turned out to be mainly clothing shops and a western food court. We ended up eating at a Burger King (which was in its own way, kind of nice). They also had: KFC, Baskin Robbin's, Mc Donald's, Outback Steak House, and some others. The rest of the time we spent walking around and the other guys I was with looked at clothes. After awhile we came back and I put up the post about Friday and this one. I'll try and include pictures and videos when applicable.

  1. Hey BJ, looks like you're eating well and meeting lots of friends. Is it typically that the girls sit on one side of the table and the guys the other ?? They must be really shy..... you'll have to give them some "American" influence !! Next time you go out with them you'll have to make sure that they commingle a little better.

I enlarged the picture to get a better look at what you guys were eating and I must say when we come over to visit you'll need to show us where the McD's, Burger King and Outback places are !! HA HA.

It was great to finally be able to connect with you via the Skype system. Your room looks a little small, but you don't seem to be there too often.... just keep absorbing all this experience !!

Hope to connect again this weekend.

    Love, Dad
